Special Events for 2016

We were invited by The Conservatory Senior Living staff to attend their December 1, 2016, Christmas Nutcracker Market!:
The Conservatory Senior Living facility in The Woodlands held their Veterans' Day Celebration on November 15, 2016:
This precious girl from our local area volunteered her beautiful voice for this event (just as she did for our golf tournament in October!):
On November 10, 2016, we were invited by Anadarko Petroleum to attend their annual Veterans' Day Event:
On October 22, 2016, OME attended the House Dedication for this wounded soldier (middle of the picture) and his family (to the left and right of him):
Also on October 22, 2016, we were invited to attend the American Airlines Skyball in Dallas, Texas!  We had a blast!
And we got to sit at the table with some of American Airlines' awesome employees who are strong supporters of Operation Military Embrace!:
On October 1, 2016, we attended the Marine Galveston Tracs Unit Family Day!
We were invited to attend Scuttlebutt Newspaper's One Year Anniversary Party on September 17, 2016.  Here we are at our OME table there.  We really enjoyed meeting veterans from all eras!
On September 11, 2016, OME was invited to set up a tent/table at the Patriot Day Event at Candy Cane Park in Conroe, Texas. It was held to honor our fallen military heroes, and was sponsored by the City of Conroe, U.S. Army, and VFW Post 4709:
And we invited the kids to draw pictures on the care packages that were destined for our troops deployed in harm's way:
Since 2010 OME has participated in the Watermelon Run for the Fallen in Hempstead, Texas,  which is a solemn event that honors all of our Texas fallen who have paid the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.  This year's event was held on Saturday, August 20 (it is always the 3rd Saturday in August).
For 3rd year in a row, OME was asked by Alspaugh's ACE Hardware to participate in the 4th of July Woodlands, Texas parade.  As you can see by these pictures, everyone really enjoyed it: :-)
OME was asked by The American Legion Post 324 to attend/set up a table at the Jersey Village 5K Fun Run on Saturday, April 2,2016. We met a lot of nice people that day, and had the opportunity to discuss OME and its 4 missions and advertise for our May 20 and June 6 golf fundraisers with many of the attendees:
On Sunday, March 13, 2016, OME presented a Certificate of Appreciation to the Church of the Good Shepherd in Tomball, Texas, for their steadfast and loyal support over the past few years!
The 1-158th Aviation Battalion, headquartered in Conroe at the Conroe Reserve Center, held a change of mission/equipment ceremony on Sunday, March 6, 2016.  It was attended by OME President Jerry Reed and Secretary/Treasurer Debra Reed.  The 1-158th mission has been changed from an Apache AH-64 Attack mission to a Blackhawk UH-60 service/utility mission (logistical support, medical support, etc.)
On February 26, 2016, three members of OME attended the Retirement Ceremony at SAMMC (San Antonio Military Medical Center) for this wounded Marine:
