Special Events for 2015

On December 19, 2014, OME provided the food for the Family Christmas Dinner at SAMMC (San Antonio Military Medical Center) that was hosted by the Warrior Transition Battalion for all the wounded patients and their families.
Also on that same day, OME ;provided all the toys and bicycles for the Children's Christmas Party.  At this event (see below) all children of SAMMC wounded military patients were allowed to sit on Santa's lap and then select a toy from under the Christmas tree!
On January 16, 2015, all of us at OME were invited to attend the retirement ceremony for our very own MSgt. Blaine Scott!  We met Blaine in 2006 after he was wounded and became a SAMMC patient.  He stayed in the Marine Corps and eventually became the Senior NCOIC in the Patient Affairs Team for the Marine patients at SAMMC.   Blaine is like family to us!  Good luck, Blaine, on all of your future endeavors!  Enjoy your much-deserved retirement!

We provided the kids with 2 activities: color or draw pictures for deployed troops to include in care packages, or to practice packing up a real care package! The kids loved these activities, and here are pictures from that event:
