Collection Drives for 2017

November 3, 2017, was the kickoff day of the drive that our dear friends and supporters at The Conservatory Senior Living in The Woodlands, Texas, sponsored for us.  This drive ran through December 15, 2017.  The Ceremonial Color Guard was provided by our supporters and a great group of kids at Caney Creek NJROTC, and the National Anthem was sung by the very talented Sophia!  Thanks to all of you for making this event happen!
On November 11, 2017 (Veterans' Day) the Kroger Summerwood Store in NE Houston hosted a food & supply drive for OME so that we could provide needed items for care packages for our deployed troops.  Kroger customers were asked to donate items from a list of needs.  Volunteer assistance was provided by the Lake Houston NCL group, as well as 2 veterans from the Tomball College Veterans' Service Organization!
Also on November 11, 2017, (Veterans' Day), the Kroger store in Montgomery, Texas, hosted OME to hold a food & supply drive to provide items for care packages for deployed troops. Kroger customers were asked to donate items from a list of needs. Volunteer assistance was provided by the Montgomery Monarchs NCL chapter, as well as the Piney Woods Model A Club.  The Model A Club also brought some of their cars for display!
For his Eagle Scout project, Tommy Lykos of Troop 55 of St. John the Divine Church in Houston, Texas, held a collection drive for OME which culminated in a packing party on September 7, 2017, to pack all of the collected goodies in care packages to send downrange to our troops deployed in harm's way. Thank you, Tommy, for your support of OME and our troops AND for an OUTSTANDING JOB!!
On August 5, 2017, the Explorers Youth Group of Hempstead, Texas, held a collection drive for us outside of Arlan's Supermarket in Hempstead, Texas.   Thank you so much, Explorers Group!!! 
On July 15, 2017, Kroger Store #389 at FM1488 @ FM2978 hosted a collection drive for us in which we asked their customers to donate items from our list that are needed by our wounded & deployed military.  Thanks, Kroger!!
Also as part of Military Appreciation Month (May 1-31) the AT&T Store in Humble held a collection drive for us at their 19727 Highway 59N location.  Thank you so much, AT&T, for your support of our deployed military!

Woodlands Children's Museum
