Thank you so much to Brookdale for the use of your facility!  The Livable Forest NCL and the King's Trail NCL groups provided the volunteer support for this event!  Thank you to both groups for your support!  We could not have done it without you! :-)
On December 10, 2016, we held our monthly Adopt A Box Event at the Woodlands Alspaugh's ACE Hardware store location. We are extremely grateful for the amazing support that we received in 2016 (as in previous years) from our wonderful supporters at Alspaugh's ACE Hardware in both their Woodlands and Kingwood locations.  They continuously allow us to host these Adopt A Box events in front of their stores each month, in addition to their other incredible support throughout the year!  Way to go, Alspaugh's!
On December 10 we also held an Adopt a Box event at Alspaugh's ACE Kingwood location.  Pauline in the picture below volunteered to help with this event.  She is a Kingwood native and recent graduate of St. Edwards University!  Thanks for your help, Pauline!!!!

February 14, 2016: One of the more frequent supporters of Operation Military Embrace each year continues to be The Woodlands Children's Museum, located in Panther Creek in the Woodlands, Texas!  The creative staff at TWCM continually develops special projects for their Moms/Kids to show love and appreciation to our Military.  They also host various collections throughout the year, gathering much-needed items for OME to send in care packages to our deployed men and women.  For Valentine's Day 2016, their kids made some beautiful Valentines for OME to include in care packages:

During these Adopt A Box events we ask the children of ACE customers to draw pictures on these care package boxes.  Here are some examples of their beautiful artwork:

Starting in the month of February: We have some very creative Moms and daughters in our community who have designed a special project called Operation Sleep Tight-2 to convey love and smiles to our many men and women deployed in harm's way and to the ill/injured warriors receiving treatment at San Antonio Military Medical Center and at Camp Hope in Houston.  Ten chapters of National Charity League in District 17 started making hand-crafted pillow cases, each one with a unique design, which are then donated to Operation Military Embrace to pass along to the military.  These have been used by OME to convey to our men and women deployed in harm's way that they are appreciated and not forgotten!
On January 23, 2016, we held an Adopt a Box Event at Alspaugh's ACE Hardware in the Woodlands in which customers at that store were invited to donate funds to help defray the cost of postage for sending care packages to deployed troops.
